Euphoria – εὐφορία

Ability to endure suffering, to carry on despite the burden of pain, to feel a sense of well-being from recovery.
The term in the medical field is first mentioned by Hippocrates, in “Sulle Fratture” he means it as the ability to resist and heal easily.

With Freud the term takes on a new nuance, as he managed to experience it itself through the use of drugs: “sensation, real or illusory, of somatic and psychic well-being”, “creative fervor, greater receptivity for beautiful aspects”.

Euphoria is a psychic exaltation that occurs when a subject experiences a state of physical well-being, excitement and intense happiness.
